As part of their ongoing professional and business development Contact Inc worked with Cathryn Lloyd, Principal of Maverick Minds, and Dr Polly Walker from the Australian Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies to develop a day long workshop for staff. The workshop incorporated arts-based methods, conflict theory and stories for inquiry. This allowed participants the opportunity to artfully reflect on the work they do and how they do it and what of their organisational practice requires further development and change.

Staff commented that the workshop provided them with a range of insights including:

...a shared knowledge and understanding around peacebuilding theory and practice.
...seeing many different perspectives on peace and conflict.
...the arts processes allowed people to be more involved.
...the workshop touched on heaps of answers to my questions. I can now use these within the workplace.
...great not to get stuck conceptually, but also the process of understanding the need of the arts activities produced good discussion.
