PricewaterhouseCoopers audit team: Rio Tinto and Alcan

The PricewaterhousCoopers audit teams serving Rio Tinto and Alcan respectively, were previously two very separate and culturally different teams with no interaction due to independence restrictions.                   Following Rio Tinto's acquisition of Alcan, there was a need for the PwC team to mirror Rio Tinto Alcan's integration.  Maverick Minds provided an integral part of that journey in a creative environment where the two audit teams could explore ways to successfully integrate.

Comments from participants included:

  • This is the second time I have participated in one of Maverick Minds creative workshops.  I am definitely a fan - Partner, PwC.
  • Interesting method of learning - got alot from it.  A new insight for me is about understanding and listening instead of trying to communicate my point.
  • Respect and communication were the key insights for me.
  • It was great as everyone had an equal chance at participating and it wasn't about skills and levels of intelligence and that everyone has the same insights about the new team.
  • It was very interactive and brought the team together.  People opened up and showed their true self.
