Queensland University of Technology: Imagine the Future World Café

Maverick Minds was engaged by the Queensland University of Technology to create and facilitate a World Café for a faculty of approximately 90 people. Those who attended found themselves in an ambient, cafe style facilitation process. They indulged in great coffee, excellent cakes and music while they explored strategic questions. The World Cafe Process provides large groups the opportunity to explore key issues in a structured yet informal environment. This juxtapostion allows people to relax, engage and share their ideas. The café was a great success. One particular comment summed it up by saying "it was the best staff meeting they had ever been to".
